Robert A Erdin, MD

Founder , Chair

Dr Erdin works as an orthopedic surgeon at the Department of Veteran Affairs. He (and Jennifer Erdin, MD) has made multiple visits to KCMC. With Dr. Braswell, he started SOAP’s online teaching program.

Jennifer S Erdin, MD

Founder , Executive Director

Dr Erdin retired from a busy pediatric practice in 2007. She brings additional experience in strategic planning, business finance, and donation campaigns

Interest in Soap

Matt Braswell, MD

Dr. Braswell works as an orthopedic surgeon at EmergeOrtho in Wilmington, NC. He has worked with the residents in Tanzania since 2021. Dr. Braswell helped to start the internet teaching program with KCMC.

Virgina Casey,MD

Dr Casey is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with OrthoCarolina. She has made several trips to KCMC and serves as a frequent resource for online teaching and mentoring.

Jonathan Faggart, PA-C

Vice-Chair

Mr. Faggart works in orthopedics at the Department of Veteran Affairs. He has been involved with SOAP’s mission since its inception and serves on the Executive Committee.

Jason Halvorson, MD

Dr Halvorson is an orthopedic trauma specialist at Wake Forest. He has made several trips to KCMC and help to launch SOAP’s collaboration with ProjectCURE.

Natalie Marenghi, MD

Dr. Marenghi works at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic in Florida. She volunteered at KCMC in 2023 and has participated in the online teaching lecture program.
